march! hunger awareness month!!!!

wonderland
friends!
we all need to eat!
i don't know about you, but i am not the most favorite person to be around when i am hungry...

the month of march offers us all a chance to make a difference in the lives of many in our community who are suffering in the most unfortunate way...in burnsville, mn, alone there has been a 28% increase in families requesting emergency food from local food shelves.

minnesota foodshare works hard to promote hunger awareness and engage communities in the fight against hunger and poverty, especially in the month of march.

remarkably, a number of generous companies will donate dollars proportionally to the poundage of food donated...!!!!!

here is a list of suggested items one could possibly donate to a local food shelf:

Cereal (hot and cold)
Powdered milk
Pancake mix and syrup
Peanut butter and jelly
Tuna and Tuna Helper
Canned meat
Pasta and sauce
Rice and beans
Whole grain snack crackers
Granola/cereal bars
*Canned fruit
Coffee/Tea
Dried rice (16 oz packages)
Dried beans (16 oz packages)
Cooking oil
Laundry detergent
Dish soap
*Paper products (toilet paper, paper towels)
*Personal care products (tooth paste, bar soap, shampoo)
*Disposable diapers (all sizes)
*Cash donations are needed to purchase bulk items
*Gift cards to purchase fresh nutritious food
School supplies (notebooks, folders, pens and pencils)
Warm clothing (hats, mittens, blankets)
*These items are often requested and/or needed.

i'm asking everyone i know to please fill up their grocery cart with some extra goodies and help to restock the food shelves today!

please, honor the efforts of the foodshare program and help to make the difference in the life of another....a family...possibly your neighbor or co-worker.
thanks! and blessings.

That is so true, there is hunger everywhere around the world. I wish more people, who can, would dontate. I know if I had alot of money, I would help as much as I could.

Beautiful Paintings.

have a little faith in me: john hiatt

When the road gets dark
And you can no longer see
Just let my love throw a spark
And have a little faith in me
And when the tears you cry
Are all you can believe
Just give these loving arms a try
And have a little faith in me

Have a little faith in me
Have a little faith in me

And when your secret heart
Cannot speak so easily
Come here darling, from a whisper start
And have a little faith in me
And when your back’s against the wall
Just turn around and you, you will see
I will catch you, I will catch your fall
Just have a little faith in me

Have a little faith in me
Have a little faith in me

‘Cause I’ve been loving you, for such a long, long time
Expecting nothing in return
Just for you to have a little faith in me
You see time, time is our friend
‘Cause for us, there is no end
And all you gotta do, is have a little faith in me
I will hold you up, I will hold you up
And your love, gives me strength enough to
Have a little faith in me
Hey hey
All you gotta do for me girl
Is have a little faith in me
